My Practice
Practice and Treatment Philosophy
I founded Berkeley & Oakland Psychological Services to provide a grounded, structured space for meaningful psychological change. My work focuses on trauma, addiction, grief, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and relationship dynamics—with an emphasis on resolving the deeper patterns that shape how we relate to ourselves and others.
I draw from EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to guide an evidence-based, body-aware process. I understand trauma as unresolved experience—moments that continue to shape present reactions, beliefs, and relationships.
In this framework, addiction and other maladaptive coping patterns are rarely the core problem; they are adaptations to unprocessed pain. All humans rely on strategies to manage distress, existing along a spectrum in how rigid or costly those strategies become. Rather than treating behaviors in isolation, we work at the source—processing what drives them and building healthier ways of coping. This supports greater clarity, stability, and psychological strength.
