Healing at the Root:

Trauma-Informed Therapy for
Lasting Change

Personalized individual psychotherapy serving clients in Berkeley, Oakland, San Francisco and online.

Yakov Barton, PhD

About Me

I see therapy as a space to slow down, get curious, and reconnect with what’s really going on beneath the surface.

My approach is warm, collaborative, structured, and rooted in the belief that healing starts at the source—where past experiences and core beliefs continue to shape how we think, feel, and relate.

Trained at Columbia University, I use an emotion-focused and trauma-informed approach to help people work through anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, grief, and relationship challenges. Together, we will explore the deeper patterns that keep you stuck and build ways to feel more grounded, open, and connected—to yourself and to others.
